What is OBD2?
OBD2 (On-Board Diagnostics II) is a diagnostic standard that allows reading data from a vehicle’s electronic control units (ECU) through a standard interface. With an OBD2 adapter and a compatible app, you can view the data your vehicle supports.
Live data
You can track supported live parameters such as engine RPM, speed, coolant temperature, air flow and more. The data shown may vary depending on your vehicle’s ECU support.
Fault codes (DTC)
You can read the fault codes (DTC) stored in the vehicle’s memory along with code descriptions and possible causes. Reading a fault code is informational; a definitive diagnosis requires an authorized service or expert evaluation.
Freeze frame
A snapshot of vehicle data at the moment a fault code was recorded (freeze frame) can be viewed on supported vehicles. This helps understand the conditions under which the fault occurred.
Emission / Readiness
You can see whether emission-related readiness monitors are ready. This gives an idea for a pre-inspection check; it does not replace an official inspection.
Code clearing and user consent
In Aracım Cepte, clearing a fault code is only performed with explicit user consent. Clearing a code does not repair the fault; it only clears the record, and the code may reappear if the issue persists. Taking a report before clearing is recommended.
Is OBD2 data the same on every vehicle?
No. Supported data varies by the vehicle’s make, model, year and ECU configuration. Some parameters may not be available on every vehicle.
